Feature Friday - By Sage Design & Giveaway!

I was perusing Madeit.com.au a few weeks ago looking for some new designers to feature here at The Whimsical Wife in this segment. I was looking for something unique to showcase, something I hadn't really seen before.

 I then stumbled across a talented designer with the most gorgeous wooden products I had ever seen. They were not only cute but designed seriously well.

I thought I would share with you today some of my maternity photos that I got taken earlier this week. My talented hubby took them in the paddock next to our house, which made for a great back drop in the late afternoon sun.

Tasty Tuesday - Homemade Breakfast Muesli

There are days when I wake up in the morning open the pantry doors and stare aimlessly around trying to look for something nice for breakfast. I have my seasons of porridge, toast, eggs and smoothies and sometimes I even buy cereal from the shops - which we don't do very often.

But there are mornings where I am just totally uninspired by any of the normal breakfast offerings.....

Its pedal to the metal for some mum's with the new school term starting this week. Is that you? I am sure the school run is back in action and the hectic mornings have started back up again. 

 

 As a kid I always dreaded the first day back after school holidays - actually I just dreaded going back to school full stop. I am so glad I don't have to go anymore! 

Furniture Project Update......

I know I haven't posted any recent furniture restoration projects in the last few weeks and there is a reason for that..... It's called a baby bump! 

I'm kinda at the point at the moment that everything is difficult to do - even walking sometimes.  I am currently 34 weeks today and feel every day of it.  I have projects waiting in the wings to do but quite honestly I can't find the energy to drag myself outside to complete them.

Tasty Tuesday: Vanilla Milkshake Cupcakes

  

 

 

I have been craving milkshakes in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. The thing is I have been craving REAL true blue milkshakes. The kind with full cream milk, ice cream, vanilla flavouring all frothed up with a sprinkle of milo on top to finish it off. But again since I can't drink proper milk or eat ice-cream I have sadly having to resort to the alternative of rice milk, banana and vanilla milkshakes.... not exactly the same but it does take an edge of the cravings.
