Hoover Air Stick Pro Stickvac Review + Giveaway

Hoover Air Stick Pro Stickvac Review + Giveaway

One thing I was pretty oblivious to before having kids was the amount of mess that they make. Like you sweep the floor, and barely five minutes later there is crumbs, dirt, dust, paint, playdough and who knows what else strewn all over your floor. I swear all I feel like I do in the day is sweep and wipe up messes. Don’t get me started on what the floor looks like after dinner.  Anyone else with me?

Godfreys

gave me the opportunity to have a whirl at the

Hoover Air Stick Pro

and see how it measures up in my crumb-ridden house. I couldn’t turn it down.

If you have been following me on my Insta-stories, you would have got a sneak peek at me making the grand opening of the box and seeing me put it all together. I was like a kid on Christmas morning opening the box and seeing all the cool attachments that come with the vacuum cleaner. A girl can never have too many accessories. While the

Hoover Air Stick Pro

does come in a number of pieces, it was a breeze to put together for this baby brained mum, and everything clicked into place easily.

While the whole machine has a little bit of weight to it when picked up, I found it a breeze to push along the floor when vacuuming. This is thanks to the self-propelling power head which allows for easy gliding on all surfaces. I was pretty sceptical that since this was a battery powered vacuum cleaner it probably wouldn’t have any great sucking capabilities, especially on carpeted surfaces.

Boy was I wrong. I ran it over our lounge room carpet, and I was shocked to see how much dust and dirt it picked up considering I had only vacuumed it earlier that week. I was impressed, to say the least. This awesome sucking capability is due to the Air Velocity technology allowing powerful suction on all types of surfaces such as carpets and hard floors. Perfect for all those pesky crumbs on the hardwood floor and carpets.

I found this little portable vacuum so helpful as you can get into all the hard to reach places with a couple of the different attachments. Think dusting the bookcase, getting in the fireplace grill where it is notoriously hard to clean, the lounge and the multitude of sins that are hidden in the crevices and my favourite the cobwebs in the corner of just about every room in our house at the moment. All I had to do was choose what attachment I wanted and away I went. I even managed to vacuum the car out also getting into the little crevices that seem to be always full of crumbs. Hello, kids! The car looked like new again after I finished.

I found the only drawback to this machine was it only has a 22-minute battery life. So if you have a lot of cleaning ahead of you, I would recommend doing it in spurts and popping it back onto the charger while you are doing something else. Oh, don’t let me forget to tell you about the cool charger stand that comes with it. It allows you to pop the

Hoover Air Stick Pro

onto the stand in a tidy little corner (preferably with power so it can charge) and has spots where you can stick your favourite attachments.

Cleaning and emptying this vacuum is super easy. You can easily see when the compartment is full and it is easily removed with a simple turn and tip into the bin. The filters are also easy to clean and can be seen at a glance if they are dirty or not. No complicated procedure to pull it apart and put it back together. It's one of my pet hates trying to figure out putting the vacuum cleaner back together after pulling out all the filters to clean.

I have it hiding in my lounge room corner where I can access it easily to quickly suck up the mountains of crumbs the kids leave after meals. The kids thought my new toy was pretty awesome too and they both had turns running it up and down the hallway sucking up all the imaginary dirt. Actually, it probably wasn’t imaginary! Since they love it so much, I get them each to choose a room to vacuum and let them have at it.

So if you are considering adding a cordless vacuum to your home, I would highly recommend getting the

Hoover Air Stick Pro

. I may not hate cleaning so much with this little gadget around!
