I could show you all day the things I love from this store but I want to introduce you to the owner, Kylie and let her tell you a bit about herself and her wonderful store. With out further ado...
Hi My name is Kylie, I am 41, have been married for 20 years to a very patient man (Craig) and have three children, Max 20, Kathryn 16 and a very handsome little gentleman Reuben 5 (Technically Reuben is a toy poodle, but he doesn’t know that !)
I have always had very eclectic tastes and love to mix colours and styles to create rooms with personality and depth.
After years spent browsing in stores which were ridiculously high priced or shop after shop of the same products, I felt that like me, there were people out there who wanted to decorate their homes with stylish quality pieces but not with every cent they earned, the prices had to be family friendly.
Tempt Homewares & Jewellery started with humble beginnings in a renovated farm shed on our property at Mount Vincent in the Hunter Valley in 2008.

We started the business at home as we are located in a position with great passing traffic allowing us to test the waters before we jumped all the way in. (At a time when retail was experiencing its worst downturn for decades, what were we thinking ?!!)
This lasted about 6 months before we realised we had outgrown our little store at home and decided we had to bite the bullet and go for it in a shop at Pokolbin in the Heart of the Hunter Valley Vineyards. The move was the best thing we ever did.
We have been at Pokolbin for 3 years now, have worked REALLY hard, expanded the shop into the shops on either side twice, advertised a lot, offered everything we promised with fantastic prices and eclectic products and its working ! Phew...!
One thing we have always done is to set goals and then keep expanding on them. With retail being so highly competitive we realised people loved what we were doing, however the great Hunter Valley position we had chosen while being busy and working well, was mostly visited by people holidaying who would be going home and unable to become regular customers ! OH NO!
So many people raved about the store and asked if we had a store in Sydney or Melbourne etc with hope in their eyes, so we thought, why not??
Which is how we evolved into offering an online store to compliment our Hunter Valley store, that way the customers who we had worked so hard to find could become regulars no matter where in Australia they lived and their friends could too ! Yay!
Approximately 90% of everything we have in store is now available online to anywhere in Australia. We have a dedicated team to manage online sales and update the site with around 80 new items added every week. The site also now has a newsletter option which sends an email out every 2- 3 weeks with images of new stock to keep customers updated with our new wares.
We offer FREE DELIVERY on Jewellery always and every online order receives a FREE 'MOR' body butter gift sample.
