I thought I would do a quick post and let those who aren't connected to The Whimsical Wife on facebook about the birth of our beautiful son J.D. (That's his initials)

He was born last Saturday morning at 6.08am weighing in at 7lb 12oz after a 8 hour labour. Labour was an interesting experience to say the least but it was so worth it. Just not sure I'd want to do it again anytime soon. LOL. I might write my birth story here one day soon.

He's the miracle that we have been waiting for 4 1/2 years. We are truly blessed with this little man and I just cannot get enough of him. He's truly scrumptious! Watching him sleep is one of my new favourite past times.

I can't believe he is a week old already today. It's been a LONG week in some respects though. Motherhood is exhausting but oh so rewarding. I will keep you updated on this little champions progress.! Anyway I'm off for a snooze!
