Kambrook Blitz Pro & Blitz2Go Review & Giveaway
If there ever was a time to get healthy, then January is the month to do it. Ambitions are running high, and the motivation is raring to get out of the pen. I can’t help but to be inspired by all the delicious recipes and motivating images floating around the interweb at the moment. Particularly all the yummy smoothies and fabulous juices people are coming up with to entice us all to jump on the healthy wagon. Smoothies are a great way to kick start your journey into eating more healthy foods. I find they are perfect for sneaking a few more fruits and vegetables into my kids and myself without having to coerce them (and sometimes me) to eat their greens. The recipe for smoothie success is in the tools, the first step to creating the perfect smoothie is the blender. I can’t stress this enough.
Kambrook Blitz2Go RRP $49.95
Kambrook has come to the aid of smoothie lovers around the world with their healthy me helpers – the
and the
blenders. I was given the opportunity over Christmas time to test and review both of these blenders and boy oh boy I am so excited to talk to you about them.
First let’s speak of the entry level personal blender the
. This blender has currently sold over 230,000 in Australia since it’s launch. So it is easy to say this blender has created a cult following of avid followers. The
is an easy all in one machine with the smoothie made in an easy to use smoothie bottle. Pop all your ingredients in the bottle, add your chosen liquid and blend until smooth. Pop on the drinking lid and wham bam thank you, ma'am. Out the door you go. This blender has a 300W motor with a circular, waved stainless steel blade. The blender is great for blending soft fruits and vegetables such as banana’s, grapes, fresh berries, avocado, cucumber, etc. or protein powders. Have a look further down below at the Blitz Pro if you want to blend ice, nuts or frozen fruits.
The
got a whole lot better with the launch of the
. The kit turns the Blitz2Go into a Milkshake & Cocktail Maker. The kit contains a closable drinking lid and bottle and a stainless steel cocktail shaker both which attaches to the Blitz2Go blender to make your favorite milkshake or cocktail in minutes. No fuss. No Mess. How cool is that? I decided to create the most delicious smoothie with the Blitz2Go from a variation of my favourite cocktail. The Daiquiri. A Mango & Coconut Daiquiri to be correct. I haven’t had one in years since I seem to be either pregnant or breastfeeding, so a non-alcoholic smoothie fulfilled my craving until I could get me a real one. I made a moreish concoction of fresh mango, chilled coconut milk, mint, lime juice and zest. Blended it in the Blitz2Go and poured it over ice into a fancy cup and finished it off with a straw. Perfection.
The blender blitzed the fresh mango pretty good and whipped the smoothie up into a nice froth. I would suggest making sure you cut all your fruits or vegetables into smaller pieces so that it gives the blender a good chance at blitzing things correctly. You can view the full Mango Daiquiri recipe below.
If you are looking for a blender with a little more horsepower than I can totally recommend the
to whip you into a frenzy. It boasts an 800 watt motor with double stainless steel blades to blitz the toughest of items. Think ice, nuts, frozen fruits, coffee beans and spices, dips or purees. The Blitz Pro comes with two 700ml & one 350ml BPA free cups that attach to the blending mechanism to create all in one blending. The
comes with lids to fit the blending containers to help keep your smoothies fresh and tasty for later.
Kambrook BlitzPro RRP $99.95
I decided to create a super duper healthy smoothie with the
. One to keep your motor running and to sneak in some greens to keep you healthy. I call this my Mixed Berry Blitz Smoothie. It's got cashews, frozen mixed berries, frozen banana, chia seeds, spinach, spirulina and your choice of milk. I used almond milk, and it tasted awesome. While it's not a bright and vibrant smoothie, it's the ugly duckling of the two really, but it packs a nutritional punch, tastes amazing and is guaranteed to help you along on your healthy eating journey. Visit
to learn more about these great blenders.
I found the best way to pack the blender cup with smoothie ingredients was to put the hardest items in first. Things like nuts, ice, frozen fruit or vegetables should be placed in first followed by softer items such as spinach and milk options. Cut hard fruits or vegetables into small bite size pieces befoe adding to the cup. Pop the blending mechanism on and place into the blender base. Let it blitz for a minute and remove from the base before pouring into your favourite smoothie jar or cup. Top with fresh berries, mint and a straw. Yum.
So I think Kambrook has come up with two very excellent options in the realm of blenders. Both blenders have some great features and will fit all types of budgets. If you are thinking of investing a blender to kick start your road to healthier living then why not consider purchasing one of these blenders.
You can see the whole process below in my handy dandy little GIF that I made for you!
